![]() The New 45° angled viewing port |
NEW! - 45° Angled Viewing Port For Easier Viewing From The Rear of the Telescope Rear Viewing Port The viewing port allows you to see the progress of collimation from the rear of the telescope. You will not have to use the old "trial and error" method. The Laser Itself Can Be Collimated You do not have to rely on the factory's precision when it comes to the laser's own alignment. If you should notice that the laser dot forms a small circle when you turn the laser in the focuser you can adjust alignment yourself. Just remove the cap at the rear of the focuser and use the three alignment screws for collimation. Please note: You should be very careful when doing this. The laser itself has a thin wall and can be damaged if you exert too much pressure. |

Chesire Collimation Eyepiece
Chesire Collimation Eyepiece 1.25" The Chesire collimation eyepiece is the classical tool for Newtonian and refractor collimation. Light is reflected into the telescope through the 45° angled surface. When looking through the small porthole of the Chesire you will see the separate optical components and the reflections thereon. A perfectly aligned telescope will have all reflections centered around each other. A crosshair at the front end of the Chesire helps to know where the center is. The Chesire has a broad rim that is precisely machined so that it will sit in the focuser in perfect alignment - if this were not the case collimation would be imprecise. For a refractor alignment is just as easy. You will see one reflection for each glass-to-air surface. If the telescope is perfectly aligned all reflections will be centered - in general such a perfect collimation is not necessary, though. It is enough if the reflections are inside one another, they need not be centered.

1.25" Micro-Focuser - Non-rotating!
A very helpful addition to your telescope for planetary imaging and for observers who only have a quite coarse focus mechanism on their telescope. Specifications:
This focuser is also a very interesting and low-profile focuser for a self-made planetary Newtonian or a compact travel scope. |

Binocular Viewers
Observing with both eyes means a significant gain in your eyes' ability to see faint details. At the same time you will be more relaxed and can observe for longer periods without straining your eyes. Binocular viewing is helpful both for lunar, planetary and deep sky observing. |

BW Binoviewer
BW Binoviewer The new BW Binoviewer was designed for astronomical use from the start - this is not just a revamped microscope binoviewer. It has large prisms and is blackened inside for best possible transmission and suppression of reflections. The compact body makes the binoviewer comfortable to use. This binoviewer is in our opinion not comparable with the new Chinese made binoviewers in terms of optical and mechanical quality. Specifications: .
The eyepiece clamp of the BW Binoviewer is precisely made to avoid misalignment.

TS Glass Path Correctors for Binocular Viewers

The Baader 60° Binoviewer with 2" TS Glass Path Corrector
![]() |
TS Glass Path Correctors For Binocular Viewers Binocular viewers often require lots of extra back focus. Many telescopes such as Newtonians and many refractors do not have sufficient back focus to accomodate binoviewers. For those cases we offer two Glass Path Correctors that will extend the focal plane further out and will allow you to reach focus in such telescopes. Glass Path Correctors Move The Focal Plane Further Out So That You Can Use Binoviewers In Almost All Telescopes
