The computerized GoTo mount Celestron Advanced GoTo (CAM) with massive steel tube tripod and ergonomic hand controller.

Celestron created this mount with the clear objective of offering to the customer a mount with an unparalleled combination of mechanical stability, GoTo capabilities, and in particular value for money. The mount was to be sturdy yet portable, easy to use but versatile.

The Result: The Celestron CAM GoTo.

Load Capacity:	up to approx. 10kgs (6" refractor, 8" Newtonian, 9" Schmidt-Cassegrain)
Tripod:	Heavy-duty steel tube tripod - the same massive unit that is also used in the much heavier EQ6 mount!
Weight:	The equatorial head weighs only about 6.2kgs
Dovetail Clamp System:	Yes - compatible with the Vixen standard

An aluminium case for the Advanced Mount. As you can see the dimensions of the mount are small enough to take it aboard an airplane.
Such cases cannot be purchased from Celestron directly, but many customers build do-it-yourself solutions out of standard suitcases.

Slewing speed up to 4° per second through powerful servo motors

RS-232 port for computer access - a cable or Bluetooth connection is available separately.

Can be upgraded with a GPS module - the mount will then find the alignment stars automatically, you just need to center them.

Alignment modes: 3-star alignment / Quick Align / Auto Align (GPS module required)

Autoguider port for automatic guiding during long exposures

Good positioning precision through 3-star alignment. Even if the mount isn't exactly polar aligned.

Celestron C-6N (Aperture 150mm / Focal Length 750mm) A compact and powerful telescope for all astronomical applications. The light telescope leaves lots of power reserves for heavy accessories, a guide scope, ... Refractor fans will agree: This is a telescope worth looking into (and through). The mount has plenty of power reserves for heavy accessories. Further Information	Celestron C-6R (Aperture 150mm / Focal Length 1200mm or 750mm) High contrast planetary images and enough light gathering power for serious deep sky observing - that's what you get with the Celestron 6" refractors.
