Boxdoerfer is a company specialized on the creation of motor drives with high accuracy and sophisticated photographical functions. The controllers are made in Germany.

Unlike mass-produced controllers the Boxdoerfer controllers are well thought through in detail, leaving nothing to be desired by the advanced user.

A Sophisticated Dual Axis Motor Drive for Serious Long Exposure Astro-Imaging and Demanding Visual Use - Large Scope of Delivery!

This dual axis motor drive kit uses good quality and powerful stepper motors with metal body and a very low tracking error.

Manual clutches are included so that you can continue using your mount manually if you choose to do so.

We offer two different variants of this dual axis drive: The standard version uses the Powerflex MTS-3SLP controller. This controller offers a long list of features that make it specifically suited for astro-imaging:

- periodic error correction (PEC)
- declination backlash compensation
- customizable setting and correcting speeds.

Quality In All Parts

All parts were chosen for their quality. The motor plugs are good quality, the gears, the motors themselves, and of course in particular the controller. Arctiflex cables will stay flexible even 40° below zero.

Powerflex SDI controller with display
 Photographical GoTo Upgrade Kit - with Powerflex SDI controller, display, high speed motors and 2,000+ object database.

The TS GoTo Upgrade Kit is a high quality alternative to cheaper Chinese GoTo kits. It offers full GoTo controll independent from a Desktop or Laptop computer and adds to that several features that make it particularly suited for astro-imaging.

Motors: two powerful and fast stepper motors for fast GoTo up to 5° per second. For 12V power supply

MTS-3SDI controller with the optional display.
 The Powerflex MTS-3SDI has all features of the SLP, plus the following additional features:
  • can be upgraded to new Software versions regularly without having to return the controller to the manufacturer. The update software is available at the Boxdörfer website.
  • Software-Updates are free of charge. Only the object database for GoTo costs 75 Euros extra
  • up to 1/64-Micro step mode for tracking (the power curve is a near perfect sinus curve). The result is a perfectly smooth tracking motion free of "jumps" at all voltages.
  • automatic micro-step switch function for accelerations in the fast mode. Up to 450Hz 1/8 step, up to 900Hz 1/4 step, beyond 900Hz 1/2 step
Upgrade To GoTo

The Powerflex SDI comes GoTo ready, you only need to enter the keycode to activate the GoTo functions. It is no longer necessary to send the controllers back to the manufacturer for the modification. The keycode can be bought from us at any time. We only need the serial number of the controller.

In addition you will also need the display which is also available separately. Installing the display is easy and can be done by the customer.

The additionial GoTo functions include:

-- Simple alignment procedure (one star alignment)
